About Us
Frequently Asked Questions
CLARIFICATIONS . . . We often get questions about how we do this and why we do things certain ways. We hope these few paragraphs are helpful.
- Why do we have to register for all classes/can’t we just show up for films and large lectures? We need to have an accurate count on how many take advantage of our programs. Also, if there’s a change or cancellation we can notify you . . . if you register.
- Why is advance payment (within 5 days of your registration) required? Payment secures your place in tuition based classes and also indicates you’re serious about attending. Many classes have wait lists - - if we don’t have your payment, there are others who want to attend. No shows at tuition based classes are a shame – someone who really wants to attend may be deprived. We make it very easy, if you like call MTP @ 861-9751 and make payment by phone, drop off a check or pay in cash - - eventually we hope you can do this on-line.
- What’s the best way to register . . . and when? We believe that on-line registration is the easiest and most efficient way to register. You find out immediately if you’re in the classes and it can be done anytime from anywhere and you get about a week as an “early bird special”. (On-line registration gives you the catalog and the ability to register about a week before the catalog is published)
- Why can’t my wife and I register on-line together? Our program requires each student to have his/her own user account.
- I tried on-line registration and was told someone else has my name. This is because you registered by telephone or in person for other classes before. When you do this we need to enter your information in our office and have created your account. Simply call MTP and request your user name and password by calling 861-9751. Please do not use this number to try to register.
- Sometimes I go to the assigned classroom and it’s been moved. This usually happens with larger classes moved to Live Oak Hall or Cypress Hall. Rather than make several dozen calls, we’ll let you know when you get here. This usually involves about 30 – 40 yards difference between the old and new venue. We’re working on a way to notify you via e-mail if you register on-line and provide a valid e-mail address.
MTP is your program. We work hard to make it a unique exciting experience that strives to be “student friendly”. We appreciate your support and your comments

Charter a Class
We are now able to offer another way to take advantage of educational programming here at On Top of the World. It is our “charter a class” option. If a club, organization or neighborhood is interested in a particular class, you can charter it for your
group with as few as 5 students! Maybe the time or place doesn’t suit you — we can change it. Maybe you want a course that
isn’t even part of what we offer — we can develop it for you. Our belief is that education should be convenient — we can bring
it to you and for you!
Just another way to make living at On Top of the World Communities more interesting!
Fee Structure — Residents and General Public
Programs at the Master the Possibilities Education Center are open to the general public. However, residents of
On Top of the World Communities as well as Stone Creek residents enjoy a discounted tuition. You will be required to show
proof of residency. Non-residents will pay a modest difference for most classes. If you have questions, please contact the MTP
Education Center at 854-3652.
Have Something to Teach?
We are always looking for great courses and we need outstanding instructors. Have experience teaching? Have an area of
expertise that lends itself to a class? Contact us! Send a brief proposal and resume. Teaching adults is very challenging.......
and very rewarding! (Please look at our “Faculty Facts” section. Our teachers are an impressive group of professionals.)
Updates
As we expand our MTP program, we run the risk ofhaving to make changes in days or times for classes as well as postponements or cancellations. In order to communicate changes to enrolled students, we will go through the following process:
If you registered on-line and provided an e-mail address, we will e-mail you notice of changes for your classes; otherwise we will call you.
We will post changes on the OTOW-TV.
While there are bound to be some short notice/emergency changes, it's our objective to make you aware of what we do and when we have changes.
