Wooden Base Pine Needle Basket

Learn to coil around a 4" wooden circular base to make a small pine needle basket measuring approximately 6 inches wide by 3 inches high. During the first class we will learn to prepare our materials and how to do a basic coiling stitch using a straw gauge. The second class will focus on finishing techniques. Please bring a scissors to class and a small towel for wrapping the damp pine needles. The instructor will provide the pine needles, artificial sinew for sewing, and a steel needle for coiling.
