	24 Seats Available Instructor: Dr. Willet Boyer III Resident Fee: 150 Non-resident Fee: 150 Join professional archaeologist Dr. Willet Boyer and his staff as they continue their local “dig”. Classes will be “in the field” three days a week from 8-11 AM (you will decide on your scheduled days with the instructor). This project is designed to teach the fundamentals of archaeology as well as provide history and theory. It is “hands on” and requires a degree of physical stamina. The Winter 2010 sessions were an unqualified success. You are encouraged to attend a general information class on June 30, 2010 1-2pm in Live Oak Hall to get all the details. Registrants will have an orientation July 1, August 1 or September 1 for the Summer sessions. This is an outstanding opportunity for you to learn and discover our past. Students can sign for a month at a time.

With advance planning you can cut your expenses up to $400 monthly and have a better retirement.

These step-by-step classes are specifically for those who have little or no computer experience and wish to learn the "lingo' and the basics of computers in a relaxed class setting. If you just purchased a computer, or are thinking about it, these classes will clear the fog and get you started. We'll go over different types of computers, how to use a mouse, the desktop, files and folders, add a printer and other devices, how to use help, upload digital photos, browse the internet and connect to other people online. Bring your questions and let me tailor this series of classes to your needs. You may bring your laptop if you have one.

	11 Seats Available Instructor: Sue Primeau Resident Fee: $30.00 Non-resident Fee: $35.00 Whether you’ve never painted in the great outdoors or enjoy doing so on a regular basis, nothing expands your skill set like painting on-location. With Sholom Park as our ever-changing, beautiful studio you will select your subject after a short instructor demonstration. You will spend the majority of time developing your painting while the instructor comes around to provide individual instruction. Our emphasis this time will be on capturing light and shadow quickly. Information to improve perspective, composition and color theory will be explored along with quick fixes and finishing touches. A recommended on-location supply list is available upon request from Master the Possibilities office or on-line. This workshop is suitable for painters at all levels as well as those who have painted here before as the subject matter and light are always changing and shifting.

This program can increase awareness of the benefits of Alzheimer’s early detection among consumers and physicians.

This class will demonstrate the process by which you can convert your old VHS video tapes to DVD. Using inexpensive software and hardware you can monitor the process and edit the video before you convert it. You can also make your old VHS tapes look professional by adding special effects such as transitions and more.

Osteoporosis causes an estimated 1.5 million fractures. It is also estimated that 1 out of every 2 women over the age of 50 will be affected by osteoporosis. Dr. Elyaman will discuss preventive measures and treatment modalities. There will be ample time for Q & A.

In this presentation, wildlife biologist Craig Faulhaber will describe the life history of this charismatic, family-oriented species and the unique high and dry habitat known as scrub. Mr. Faulhaber will discuss the threats faced by the Florida scrub-jay and the conservation actions being taken to save this fascinating bird.

The chiropractic profession has been the mainstay in alleviating these problems over the last one hundred years without the use of surgery. Dr. Mawhiney, having practiced for over 50 years in the same community and taught doctors all over the world, has established a class to provide information on CAUSE, PREVENTION AND SELF HELP. He will demonstrate home exercises and prevention methods for these conditions. Full class participation is encouraged.

To this end, we would like to ensure that as many people as possible have the skills to save lives. The Adult CPR and Defibrillation class provides the knowledge and skills necessary to help out in critical situations. Taught by certified instructor, Norm Scott, this 4-hour training concludes with a test that can result in certification. (Note: This course will incorporate the new requirements for CPR. Classes are limited to 6 participants.)

	34 Seats Available Instructor: UF Pharmacology Students Resident Fee: $0.00 Non-resident Fee: $0.00 Do you have any questions about your medications that you would like to have answered? Once a month from 10-11 am, the University of Florida College of Pharmacy Pharm.D. Candidates will be available to answer your questions about all of your medications, including prescriptions, over-the-counter products and herbal supplements. The students can provide you with information about uses, side effects, precautions, drug interactions, lower cost alternatives, and how to properly take your medication. Attendees will receive individual counseling on a first come, first serve basis. Bringing a list of all of you current medications will help the students give you the best information. NOTE: The information provided should never be used to change your medication regimen without first consulting with your physician or pharmacist.

	12 Seats Available Instructor: Patty Beeman Resident Fee: $15.00 Non-resident Fee: $18.00 The first project will be a hanging treat box. It will adorn a wine bottle or water bottle. It can hold candy, lemonade packs, a cheese knife, granola bar...whatever you wish. For the second project we will create a box with a window to peek inside. It can be used for a gift of almost anything you can imagine. Perhaps candy, jewelry, tea, tags, perfume. Both of these items make great hospitality gifts--for a birthday, anniversary or party favors. You will think of many ways to use these boxes. Be sure to bring your lunch and we will take a break at noon. All levels of experience are welcome, even beginners.
